25 years ago, after working in General Practice, Emergency Medicine and Cosmetic Clinics, locally and abroad, I established what is now known as JAB Clinic in Byron Bay, focusing on my passion for Japanese Acupuncture, which interestingly, led me into the world of cosmetic injectables.

About

Utilising principles from my western medical training and integrating ancient, eastern techniques, I soon discovered great success in moving energy, not only in the body, but also in the face and jaw.

Using meridian points, I created an exclusive injecting style with Botulinum toxin type A, to release stress and grinding of the jaw -TMJ, balance the face after stroke and palsy, and cosmetically relax the face to give a more chilled out natural look, befitting of our Byron Bay lifestyle-an organic experience, refreshing body and soul, to look great, feel better.

Cosmetic Injections
for the Face

After years performing all types of treatments and attending the latest conferences and workshops of new and emerging techniques, Dr Osborne has focused his expertise, specialising in anti-wrinkle treatments. As a respected cosmetic physician, Dr Osborne takes the time to get to know patients as people, discussing applicable medical history which may affect outcomes, as well as cosmetic goals.

His bespoke approach to treatment enhances the natural potential of each patient’s unique facial structure and avoids the ‘one size fits all’ template of formulaic injecting. This is especially important when injecting men, as their facial structure is completely different to women.

A detailed treatment plan is discussed within your 30-minute consult, and as there is no middleman, cost is kept to a minimum.

Acupuncture and Moxibustion

Good circulation is essential to good health and beauty. Disease or an injury to the body’s cells can cause a blockage, which prevents blood from reaching its destination. This causes pain and keeps the body from healing itself naturally. Acupuncture has been used for thousands of years to treat musculoskeletal pain, digestive disorders, fertility, headaches, stress and anxiety, by stimulating the body’s natural healing processes.

Dr Osborne studied acupuncture with leading teachers in China, Japan and Australia. His training included the study of diverse Chinese therapies including moxibustion, which enhances the healing properties of acupuncture.

Japanese Acupuncture

Chinese acupuncture today is closely allied with herbal medicine, while Japanese acupuncture has been developed in close proximity to massage therapy, focusing on palpation – the careful location and stimulation of reactive points.

The therapy helps move the body’s chi and lymph fluid, while also oxygenating the blood. Specific needles with pure silver, gold, cobalt, copper and titanium tips, are used for specific purposes in the process, which may also be coupled with moxibustion.

Dr Osborne is an Academic level and awarded member of the Toyohari Association. For the last 20 years, he has trained with this institution that honours the 400-year-old tradition of blind acupuncturists in Japan.
